Student Ministry

Purpose

Prairie Hill’s Student Ministry is designed to minister faithfully and with integrity through Bible studies, retreats, and events that build a well-reasoned faith and strong relationships with God and others.

Sunday Mornings

10:30 - 11:30 AM (Worship Service)
  • Adults, Middle and High School meet in the Sanctuary for Service.
11:45 AM - 12:00 PM (Sermon Application Sunday School) - September through May
  • Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12) meet after the worship service concludes.
This is our primary Sunday gathering. We meet after the service each week for about 15 minutes to discuss and apply the sermon, centered on these four questions:

What was confusing? What did you not understand?
What did you hear and learn about Jesus?
What stood out to you from the message?
How will you respond to what you heard today?

Wednesday Evenings

We love Wednesday nights at Prairie Hill! During the school year, our Middle and High School students meet Wednesdays for games, worship, Bible teaching, and small groups. Middle School starts at 6 and High School starts at 6:30, and both groups finish at 8. Though we have a staggered start, all students are welcome at the church anytime between 3:30 and 8 for tutoring (3:30-5:30) and a free Wednesday dinner (5:30-6:30) for students, families, and visitors. Come join us!

Tutoring

Students -- Are you struggling with schoolwork or looking for study friends?  Would you like free help with Science, Math, English, Foreign Languages, or Writing from experienced teacher/tutors?  Or are you interested in a place to study/play games/hang out together with other students after school?

Come join us at 3:30-5:30 PM Wednesdays during the school year!

Please visit the Math and Science Tutoring for Middle and High School Students page for more information and dates around holidays.
