Rev. Philip and his wife, Jummai, are originally from Nigeria, and pastor Hope of Nations Fellowship Church that is currently meeting at Southtown Baptist in Bloomington. Their church includes families from both northern Nigeria and southern Sudan. They also run a non-profit called Stream of Nations, with an emphasis on intercultural sharing of the Gospel and prayer, including training, guidebooks, and monthly Global Intercessory Prayer Partner sessions via Zoom. They have 4 daughters, some of which have been or still are involved with the PH youth group.
The aim of Stream of Nations is "making Christ known to all people groups by training churches to engage in intercultural proclamation of the gospel and prayer." Stream of Nations hosts training seminars for church leaders and conducts monthly Global Intercessory Prayer Partners meetings to pray for persecuted believers across the world. Rev. Philip has held such prayer meetings and outreach training at Prairie Hill. He has authored a Devotional & Prayer Journal and Reasoning Together guidebooks that can be ordered on the Stream of Nations website.
