Getting the right photo posted for your profile

For photos in the Directory, 'landscape' oriented photos tend to work better - and photos where the subjects are between the middle and top third tend to 'center' the best. 

With 'portrait' photos, it happens that the faces will more often be nearer to the top of the image and it just needs to be cropped a tad to bring the faces down closer to that third-line for it to look right (but in landscape photos that tends to happen naturally).

As far as sizing for profile photos, we generally recommend a size of at least 150px by 150px for clarity.
